The Compton
Arkansas nature photographs hung in guest rooms at The Compton, a high-end hotel in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas.

Back in the early phases of planning for The Compton hotel, a new high-end hotel in downtown Bentonville, AR, I got a note that the hotel was interested in having some Arkansas nature photos hanging in each of the 142 guest rooms. Neat! Easy!

Over time, this morphed into a very large project. It turns out that facilitating the production of 142 large-format, framed prints to be delivered and installed in a large hotel is no easy feat. From advising on paper choices to frame options, samples, traveling to Minnesota to sign the mats, negotiating contracts, coordinating the FedEx freight truck delivery, and more, I certainly learned a lot and, in the end, made the project happen.

Hung alongside the artwork of famed watercolor artist William McNamara, it was an honor to be selected, both from an artistic and a business perspective, to have such a huge presence in this hotel, and to be able to share my love of the Arkansas Ozarks with guests from around the world.
