An Announcement: Ironside Photography is Growing!

two reasonably not-unattractive beared bald men smiling at ya.

Excuse the wall of text. There's a(nother) cute photo below to encourage you.

Y'all, it's been a hard couple of years.

Who knew parenthood would be so difficult? Who knew we'd experience the first pandemic in most of our lifetimes?

And who knew that my business would continue to grow, evolve, and give me more work than I could (or wanted to) handle during that time while maintaining a healthy work/life balance?

Drumroll...

Ironside Photography has a big announcement.

I am officially growing my team! After a long search for some quality help, the answer was right under my nose, someone I've known for years. And apologies in advance — there will now be two baldy-beardy-guys for you to have to deal with.

Meet our newest compatriot, Daniel Moody

Daniel has been a freelance photographer for 15+ years, shooting for ad agencies and design studios in Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas. He specializes in portraiture and getting folks comfortable and natural in front of the camera – an essential part of being on my team. Some of you may already know or have worked with Daniel, so you know the quality of work he can produce. It feels natural for us to join forces and navigate the world.

We're really excited about this because we're now able to offer more than we could alone to you, our clients and friends, including:

  • Dual photographer event coverage

  • Multi-camera videography for interviews, promotional material, or events.

  • More (and different) skills, knowledge and troubleshooting powers.

  • Faster processing times to get your images back more quickly.

  • Fewer missed opportunities due to being booked; Daniel can cover things for me when I'm unavailable.

  • Fresh, collaborative views on projects and problems.

  • And more!

It's good to find someone I can trust to keep me grounded, help me learn and grow, and move Ironside Photography forward to bigger and better things. Thank you to Daniel for joining the team, and a BIG thank you to all of you who have helped support and grow my business to this point. I could not have done this without you.

On another note: I'm disappearing to Nepal for a few weeks starting today! I'll be creating some photo & video content for Himalayan Village Fund, a small nonprofit based here in Fayetteville that funds education projects in rural Nepal focusing on low-caste and underserved children. While I'm there, I'll pop over a little further east and do a trek to Everest base camp, ending at around 17,500ft. Be on the lookout for photos later in the fall! If you need anything while I'm gone, feel free to reach out to Daniel!

All the best,

Stephen

As promised, here's some cuteness. River seeing his first tiger (at the Tulsa Zoo), and two ridiculous cell phone photos from the botanic garden there, just because rainbows.

I wouldn't share cell phone photos without good reason.
