GALLERY ALERT: "SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT" AT THE U OF A

Hello everyone! Just a note to say that, for the first time in a few years, I have a gallery show hanging! Entitled "Same Same But Different," it will be open to the public from 10am-5pm, Monday through Friday, at the Anne Kittrell Gallery in the University of Arkansas Student Union, until the end of September.

In an era of rampant xenophobia, I wanted to look back at the images I’ve taken during my travels that feature people, and see where I could find commonalities among them. It didn’t take long, really. The Thailand tourist phrase “Same Same But Different” came to mind, and it stuck. I’m hoping you’ll be able to see some of yourself in these images, and realize that we’re all just trying to do the same difficult thing: to succeed at being human.

Here is the flyer designed by University Programs:

If you want me to meet you there for a personal tour, let me know!
